These savory ham and brie sliders with fig jam on pretzel buns combine sweet, salty, and creamy flavors for a quick and delicious snack or casual entertaining option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slider-sized soft pretzel buns
  • 12 slices honey ham (thinly sliced deli ham)
  • 7 oz (200 grams) brie cheese, rind removed and sliced or torn
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) fig jam
  • 3 tablespoons (45 grams) butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the pretzel buns horizontally, keeping the bottom and top halves intact but separated for filling.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, and fresh thyme leaves. Stir well to blend.
  4. Generously brush the cut sides of the pretzel buns with the butter mixture.
  5. On the bottom half of each bun, spread a thin layer of fig jam—about a teaspoon per slider.
  6. Fold or lay two slices of honey ham over the fig jam.
  7. Place slices or chunks of brie atop the ham, ensuring an even layer.
  8. Grind some fresh black pepper over the cheese.
  9. Place the top half of the pretzel bun over the filling, pressing gently to hold everything together.
  10. Place assembled sliders close but not touching on a baking sheet.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and buns turn golden brown.
  12. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Use room temperature brie for better melting. Spread fig jam thinly to avoid sogginess. Watch oven closely to prevent over-browning. For dairy-free or gluten-free versions, substitute ingredients accordingly.
