These savory glazed ham sliders with honey Dijon on Hawaiian rolls are quick, easy, and perfect for parties. The sweet and tangy glaze combined with soft Hawaiian rolls creates a crowd-pleasing snack or meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, split (King’s Hawaiian preferred)
  • 1 pound deli ham slices, thinly sliced (smoked or honey ham recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 Swiss cheese slices, halved (optional)
  • Honey Dijon sauce: mix 2 tablespoons honey with 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard for brushing or dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Carefully separate the top and bottom halves and place the bottom half in your baking dish, keeping the rolls touching but not squished.
  3. Layer the ham slices evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. If using cheese, layer it over the ham.
  5. Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the ham and cheese, pressing gently to keep them together.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well blended.
  7. Use a basting brush to generously coat the tops of the rolls with the glaze.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the tops are bubbly and lightly caramelized but not burnt.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  11. For an extra touch, brush the tops with a little honey Dijon sauce before serving.

Notes

If sliders feel soggy after baking, broil for 1-2 minutes to crisp the tops. For gluten-free, swap Hawaiian rolls with gluten-free buns. For dairy-free, use vegan butter and skip or substitute cheese. Sliders can be assembled ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking; add extra baking time if chilled. Freeze assembled sliders before baking for longer storage.
