A bright, bubbly, and refreshing twist on the classic cosmopolitan cocktail, perfect for warm evenings and celebrations. This sparkling version combines vodka, triple sec, fresh lime juice, cranberry juice, and prosecco for a lively and effervescent drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka (preferably Tito’s or Absolut)
  • 1 oz triple sec or Cointreau
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz cranberry juice (100% or quality cocktail mixer)
  • 3 oz prosecco or sparkling wine (dry)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or twist for garnish
  • Fresh or frozen cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill your champagne flute or martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice. Add 6-8 ice cubes.
  3. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until icy cold and well blended.
  4. Remove the glass from the freezer and strain the cocktail mixture into it, leaving room for the prosecco.
  5. Slowly pour prosecco over the strained mix, pouring gently down the side of the glass to keep bubbles lively.
  6. Garnish with a lime wheel or twist and add fresh cranberries if desired.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the cocktail fresh and bubbly.

Notes

Pour prosecco slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Chill glass and ingredients for best results. Shake with plenty of ice but strain promptly to avoid dilution. For a lower-alcohol version, replace vodka with citrusy sparkling water. Fresh lime juice is preferred over bottled.
