frozen Bomb Pop margaritas - featured image

A simple and fun 3-ingredient frozen margarita recipe using Bomb Pop popsicles, tequila blanco, and fresh lime juice. Perfect for summer gatherings and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 Bomb Pop popsicles
  • 1 cup (240 ml) tequila blanco
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon (15 ml) orange liqueur (like Cointreau)

Instructions

  1. Remove 4-5 Bomb Pop popsicles from the freezer and let them sit for 1-2 minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice until you have about 1/4 cup (60 ml), straining out seeds.
  3. In a blender, add the popsicles, 1 cup (240 ml) tequila blanco, and the lime juice. Add a pinch of sea salt or 1 tablespoon (15 ml) orange liqueur if desired.
  4. Blend on medium-high for 30-45 seconds until thick, icy, and smooth. Add a splash of cold water or ice cubes and blend again if too thick.
  5. Taste and adjust by adding more lime juice for tartness or sparkling water to lighten if too strong.
  6. Pour into chilled margarita or cocktail glasses and garnish with a lime wedge or mini Bomb Pop.

Notes

Let popsicles soften slightly before blending to avoid straining the blender. Fresh lime juice is preferred for best flavor. For a lower-alcohol version, reduce tequila and add sparkling water. Freeze glasses ahead to keep drinks colder longer. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer and re-blend before serving.
