These sausage Rotel cream cheese crescent rolls are warm, indulgent, and easy to share, making them perfect for game days, family gatherings, or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground sausage (regular, spicy, or Italian)
  • 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground sausage until fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, and shredded cheddar (if using). Stir until fully blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll sheets and separate them into triangles. Spoon a generous amount of filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll each crescent tightly, starting from the wide end and tucking the filling inside as you go. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake the rolls in the oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Let the rolls rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Don’t overfill the rolls to prevent bursting. Use cold crescent roll dough for easier handling. Customize the spice level by adding cayenne or red pepper flakes.
