Warm, gooey cheese, savory ham, and buttery rolls come together in these baked ham and cheese party sandwiches, perfect for gatherings or quick meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or soft dinner rolls)
  • 12 slices of deli ham (Black Forest or honey ham)
  • 6 slices of Swiss cheese (cut in half)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, followed by the cheese slices.
  4. Place the top halves of the rolls on top to form sandwiches.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.
  6. Using a pastry brush, generously spread the butter mixture over the tops of the sandwiches, covering each roll completely.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a smokier flavor, use smoked ham or add smoked paprika to the glaze. Assemble sandwiches ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 4 hours, adding glaze before baking.
