A quick and easy one-pan dish combining crispy bacon, creamy ranch dressing, and tender chicken breasts for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Slice the bacon into small pieces.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon pieces and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
  3. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet if needed. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium-low and pour the ranch dressing into the skillet. Stir for 1–2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits for extra flavor.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the ranch sauce over each piece. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded cheese on top.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook for another 5–7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F/74°C. Add a splash of milk or chicken broth if the sauce thickens too much. Customize the ranch sauce with paprika or cayenne for a spicy twist.
