Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug or small bowl, mix 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 4 tablespoons granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, and 1/8 teaspoon baking powder until well blended.
  2. Stir in 3 tablespoons milk, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Gently press one small square (10-15 grams) of semi-sweet chocolate into the center of the batter without mixing it in.
  4. Microwave on high for 40-50 seconds, starting with 40 seconds and adding 5-second increments if needed, until edges are set but center remains soft and gooey.
  5. Let the mug brownie sit for about 1 minute to allow the molten center to thicken slightly before enjoying.

Notes
