  • 8 oz (225 g) mini sausages or cocktail wieners
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne or smoked paprika for sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and gently press the seams together to form a solid sheet without perforations.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough into 8 equal strips about 1 to 1½ inches wide.
  4. Roll each mini sausage tightly into a strip of dough, starting at one end and wrapping all the way around. Tuck the edge underneath to seal.
  5. Place each wrapped sausage seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about an inch apart.
  6. Brush each pig in a blanket generously with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Watch closely after 10 minutes to avoid burning.
  8. While baking, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, and yellow mustard in a small bowl. Add a pinch of cayenne if desired and adjust sweetness or tang to taste.
  9. Remove pigs in a blanket from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
