These crispy air fryer bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers are a quick and easy snack that combines smoky bacon, spicy jalapeños, and creamy cheese filling, ready in about 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 medium fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 to 12 slices thin-cut bacon
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry jalapeños. Cut each in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out seeds and membranes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, smoothing the top without overflowing.
  4. Cut bacon slices in half crosswise. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a piece of bacon, spiraling up to cover the filling. Press gently to secure; use toothpicks if needed.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place bacon-wrapped poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between them.
  7. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bacon is crispy and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from air fryer and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with parsley or chives if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for even cooking and crisp bacon. Use thin-cut bacon for best results. Flip poppers halfway through cooking. Avoid overfilling jalapeños to prevent cheese leakage. Reheat leftovers in air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before cooking.
