  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease your 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spoon or spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
